I’ve waited for things before but guess I never thought about how the Law of Attraction works with it.  My family recently decided to undertake a small construction project to repair a shed and do some work in the garage.  I belong to the local FreeCycle group and posted a request for the items I would need.  I’ve used the list before, but mostly I list things I’m giving rather than things I’m needing.  Lots of folks are looking for construction materials so I wasn’t sure anything would materialize.  Imagine my excitement when I received an email that someone had some things and also had a dumpster sitting at their house from a garage cleanout they had just done.

I had my son ride along with me and we soon discovered it wasn’t going to fit in my PT Cruiser.  He called a friend who has a truck who came to help.  Not only did we get lots of building materials, but the friend found a lot of things he could use as well.  It was a perfect timing thing.

I’ve waited in several similar situations over the years for things like beds, furniture, clothes, cars, and my house.  Some of it’s been free and others just really GREAT deals.

When I bought my house, each of us had a short list of what we would like.  When we walked into the house I now own, we all said “yes”.  Oh, it needed a good cleaning and it still needs paint and carpet, but … it had a large master suite with a shower and jacuzzi for me, a nice yard for my son (he likes yard work), a big family room and a 4th bedroom (my granddaughter lives with me too), a storage shed so we can actually utilize the garage for cars, a screened front porch (on my daughter’s list), a fenced yard (again for my granddaughter), a fireplace (something I thought “would be kind of nice”) and my boyfriend’s only request … a bidet.  It’s way more house than I thought I could afford but it was a foreclosure that had just come on the market.  I’d been looking for months and the interest rates had just gone down again, so I could get a little more house for the same payment.

I’ve actually witnessed the Law of Attraction many, many times over the past 25 or 30 years.  I just didn’t know it.  I’m going to start taking it seriously and writing down what I want or creating a vision board to help me align the energies and work with the universe and my creator.  Oh yes … gratitude is a huge part and you bet I’m grateful.
