Despair Anchors

Mental health plays a huge role in the way we view ourselves and our world. It is vitally important to take note of how you think about yourself and your life. Holding too many negative beliefs reinforces unhealthy Despair Anchors. 

Despair Anchors are negative thought patterns that have become ingrained (or programmed) in your subconscious. Let’s take a closer look at how they can affect your life as well as some effective ways to release them.

When you frequently repeat negative self-talk and ideas, they enter your subconscious. The more often you repeat the idea or concept, the more powerful it becomes. When repeated often enough, it begins change the way you view yourself. For example, you have a passion for acting and have studied hard to acquire the necessary skills. But maybe you heard someone once say that you weren’t attractive enough and this thought runs through your mind regularly. Soon believe no one will want to see you perform and you become uncomfortable in front of an audience. Before long, you decide to pursue an alternative career.

There are many ways a Despair Anchor can take hold. For example, a teacher or parent might make a disparaging remark about our abilities. Or maybe schoolyard bullies teased you about something. This can start a negative input cycle which continually reinforces the power of the Despair Anchor. Sometimes this leads to feelings of depression as the person starts to believe the hopelessness of the statement and the Despair Anchor begins to control thoughts, feelings, and actions.

When people are held in place by their Despair Anchors, it can have a significant effect on their mental health. Often, they become depressed as they focus on the worst aspects of themselves. Releasing the energy attached to a Despair Anchor can help to release the anchor. Energy Balancing is one of the ways to release the energy of the Despair Anchor and install/activate a positive belief in its place. This releases the “hold” over you and allows you to more fully control the way you think and feel about yourself. This, then, enables you to move again … you are no longer held in place by an energy anchor.

When we uncover a Despair Anchor, we release it and select an empowering belief statement to take its place. This changes the energetic vibration and frequency of our body which, in turn, changes the chemicals/hormones released by various organs in our body. It allows the body to begin a self-healing and stabilizing process.
